In February 2026 a value of 1.7% was registered in inflation measured by the consumer price index (CPI). The commodity with the highest annual variation compared to the same month of previous year was personal care, social protection and miscellaneous goods and services, going from 4.4% in February 2025 to 8.2% in February 2026.

The merchandise exports in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in January 2026 were 98.7 billion, 1.6% higher than previous month. The merchandise imports were 81.4 billion, 3.3% lower than previous month. As a result, the trade balance in January 2026 was 17.3 billion.

Employees Registered in GOSI & Civil Services

In the fourth quarter of 2025, 1,790,332 of female employees were registered in GOSI, 520,338 in Civil Services and 1,453,731 as domestic workers, reaching a total of 3,764,401 female workers in Saudi Arabia. For its part, 11,874,783 of male employees were registered in GOSI, 652,503 in Civil Services and 2,742,441 as domestic workers, for a total of 15,269,727 male workers.

The regions that presented the highest number of female employees registered in GOSI and Civil Services were Al-Riyadh (1,118,622 employees), Makkah Al-Mokarramah (404,709 employees), and Eastern Region (335,001 employees). In the case of male employees, the regions with the highest number of registered workers were Al-Riyadh (6,184,258 employees), Eastern Region (2,246,585 employees), and Makkah Al-Mokarramah (1,970,886 employees).

Individuals with Disabilities (Age 2+) Using Assistive Devices

In 2023, glasses were used as an assistive device by 63.4% of the disabled population, hearing by 10.3% and 26.3% of the disabled population used equipment or received assistance to walk.

On the other hand, the population with disabilities even with the use of glasses reached 52.1% of the total number of individuals with disabilities, the population affected even with hearing aid was 10.9% and 37.0% suffered from disabilities even using equipment or receiving help to walk.
